The Forger family is up for another task. This time, Anya has to learn what it takes for her to survive in school. Yor has to learn how to be a mother, and Loid has to find ways to accomplish Phase 2 of the mission. Before he starts, obstacles are already headed his way, while the bond between Yor and Anya deepens.
The daughter-mother connection begins when Yor brings Anya to the park, where she shows a sign of wanting to become a motherlike figure. Anya is running around, showing her uniform to others. She is excited about what she is wearing, as if she forgot what the tailor said earlier that made her feel uneasy about going to school. Yor is watching Anya as a lady tells her she is jealous that her cute daughter goes to Eden Academy. One of the kids tells her mother that he is hungry. Another mom asks her kid what he likes to eat. He tells her he wants a hamburger steak. Yor takes a look at them and recalls what Murdoch Swan and Anya said during the school interview. In the flashback scene, Swan says Anya preferred her old mother, when earlier in the interview, she said she wanted to be with Yor and Loid forever. Yor tells herself she can try to be a mother or more to Anya, even though the Forger family is just putting on an act. Anya calls her “mama” as she approaches and tells her how cute she was in the uniform. She tells Anya not to get her uniform dirty before school starts and suggests that they stop by the supermarket before going home. She wants to make dinner.
As Yor pulls the grocery cart to the cashier, Anya runs outside without supervision. As soon as she opens the supermarket door and walks outside, a guy standing next to her covers her mouth with his hand. She then remembers what the tailor said about children who commute being bullied and discriminated against. She agrees with her as a female thief says that her uniform is up for sale for a price. A male thief is happy to hear that and is ready to get to work, thinking that no one could come to her aid, but he is wrong. Yor just comes in time to punch him in the face and falls on the ground. Other thefts still demand money from her since they have Anya. She asks them to leave since she has no money left after she used it all up. Yet, they do not get a memo. Another guy thief says Anya’s uniform would do, as he picks up the pumpkin and throws it at her. She breaks it up into pieces with her hand, which catches them by surprise. With her firm but angry voice, Yor warns them that Anya is her daughter. They should leave if they do not want to end up like one of the vegetables she smashed. The thugs are frightened of her and end up running away.
From this moment on, it shows how Anya and Yor begin to have a closer family relationship and how Anya has a different perspective on Yor. She begins to learn how to defend herself against danger. Anya is amazed at Yor and calls out “mama” again. Yor hugs her, knowing she’s fine and apologizing for not watching her. Now that all her grocery products have been ruined, she feels like a bad mother. She cries, taking all the blame on herself and not knowing how to fix things better for the family. Anya touches her head to calm her down and tells her that she loves a strong and cool mother. She then asks her if she could teach her how to fight. She wants to protect herself from the danger at Eden so she can do well in school. Yor agrees. She wants to do what she can for her even though she does not know how to be a regular mother.
Loid comes home and sees Yor and Anya throwing out punches together. He asks them what they are doing. Yor replies that she is preparing herself for school, which suggests that there are going to be some troubles at school. Loid may already be prepared for the worst since he is filled with anxiety. Why? It is probably because of what he has to do. In Phase 2, Sylvia Sherwood, the handler, told him that he had to help Anya become an honor student known as an “Imperial Scholar” to attend the social gathering. It is the only gathering that Donovan Desmond attends. To achieve that goal, she needed to have an exceptional grade and philanthropy, as well as eight “Stella” merits. If she receives demerits called “Tonitrus Bolts” for poor grades and bad behavior, she would be expelled, which is a totally different mission than he used to do. In this assignment, he has no control over what is to come. It is all based on reliance and confidence in others. All he can do is to plan ahead or to change the course of action.
The following scenes show Anya’s response to bullies like Donovan Desmond’s second son, Damian Desmond, and his peers. At the ceremony in Eden, the announcer announces which class the students will be in. Loid already know where Anya will be since he arranged on the lineup sheet for Anya to be in the same class as Damian. Now, he is thinking about how to get close to Donovan. Plan A is to help Anya become an honor student. If that fails, he has Plan B, which is to convince her to befriend Damian and invite him to his house. Perhaps he can then contact Donovan. However, both of his plans did not work out as he had planned.
To move forward with the scene, Anya and Damian did not end up being friends, even though they were in the same class. Damian is a cocky, ignorant kid, and he chooses his friends based on family status. He likes to belittle and bully others and thinks that no one would dare stand up to him. Then, there comes Anya, who challenges him. In one scene, Damian asks Anya about her father’s occupation to see whether he will let her be his friend. She replies that her father is a doctor. Damian winks his eyes and smirks, as well as his response, to show his ill manner and disapproval of her family. He does not consider her father as equal to his father, not to mention their status. For this reason, their friendship deal is off. Nonetheless, she points to him and declares her desire to be a member of his inner circle. Ewen Egeburg, one of Damian’s friends, scolds her for not knowing her place. Emile Elman, one of Damian’s friends, expresses his ill feelings toward her in a detestable tone and action. He pretty much tells her she is a peasant with a nasty virus and pushes her.
Anya is angry. She wants to fight back, but she remembers what Yor told her as the scene cuts to a flashback. She said you do not know the strongest point of the fist if it is guided by emotion. When someone is cruel to you, just laugh it off. It makes you mature and cool, and there would be no fight. Anya understands the concept while Becky Blackbell, an Eden student Anya just met, tells her to say something instead of feeling sorry for herself. Anya lifts her head and smiles at Damian, who probably did not expect that and interprets it as a way of making fun of him. He is angry and wants revenge for embarrassing him. On the other hand, Becky likes how she deals with the situation. She thinks she is mature. She tells Damian’s friends to shut up while the battle between the two groups keeps clashing until Housemaster Henderson tells them to stop.
In the hallway, Anya, Becky, and other students are following Housemaster Henderson. Someone throws a paper ball on Anya’s head. She turns and sees Damian, Egeburg, and Elman smirking. Becky tells them to stop what they are doing or she will tell the teacher. To her dismay, there is no proof of their actions, nor will they take responsibility for their bad behaviors and actions. Damian tells Anya that he will bully her daily to teach her some manners. The other two of his friends sarcastically criticize her to the point where she does not hold back her punch anymore. She punches Damian in the face, and he falls on the ground. Housemaster Henderson demands to know what happened. Emile and Ewen point out that Anya is the one who started the fight. Anya tries to talk her way out by saying Damian ran into her when she stretched out. Damian’s peers keep arguing to prove that she is the guilty one, and Damian is the victim when he is the elite bully. Housemaster Henderson is convinced that Anya punched Damian based on the mark on his face, but she has a good reason why she punched him. Her explanation is that she did it for Becky, whom Damian and his peers stepped on at her feet. Anya’s actions are elegant for helping out her friend, and she decides to give her one “Tonitrus Bolt” only. When Housemaster Henderson tells him about the fight, his jaw drops open as Yor tenders Anya if she is all right. She apologizes for teaching her how to punch.
Episode 6 focuses on the development of the mother-daughter relationship and Anya’s character. Yor gradually begins to assume the role of a mother. She wants to be able to protect Anya and raise her in a good and safe environment. Anya starts to be more comfortable around her, especially after she saves her. She begins to learn how to defend herself, and she avoids fighting unless pushed to the limit. The question is why did she lie about what happened? What happens if she and her friend tell the truth? Would the outcome turn out to be the same?
